Oscar-winning costume design, lavish rococo styling and the breathtaking backdrop of Versailles combine to create the sumptuous visual feast that is the 2006 film, Marie Antoinette.

 

Director Sofia Coppola made abundant use of modern elements and exercised artistic license, often allowing mood and relatability to trump historical accuracy. The result? Intricate yet delicate pastel dreamscapes, rife with longing. Take a look!
